July 9-10, 2022 University of Colorado – Colorado Springs
As technological and artificial intelligence capabilities continue to evolve rapidly, so too does the need to consider their ethical implications for military use. In light of these recent developments, this year’s ISME conference theme is “War Machine Ethics”. ISME is pleased to accept papers focused on the intersection of ethics and war machine technology. Possible topics include – but are not limited to – artificial intelligence, autonomous weapons systems, and other technological advancements. As always, we gladly accept high quality submissions in any area of military ethics, broadly construed.
Submissions should be sent to [email protected] no later than 15 Mar, 2022. Abstracts are acceptable, although full papers are preferred. We aim to offer 15 minutes of presentation time per panel paper, followed by generous Q&A.

This is also a great opportunity to explore the Rockies, visit Dinosaur National Monument, New Mexico (Taos, Santa Fe.....or Roswell, perhaps?) or the Utah canyon lands following the meeting.
